Hong Kong Airport Terminals

HKG Airport has 2 passenger Terminals:

Terminal 1

It is the third largest passenger terminal in the world.

It also has the North Satellite and Midfield Concourse, that serves terminal 1 and 2 when needed.

Terminal 2

It is only a check-in and processing building for departures, without gates nor arrivals areas.

It serves mostly low cost airlines. It has the Sky Hall, a big shopping mall. 

[UPDATE: Terminal 2 is currently closed for renovation works of the runway and Terminal 2 facilities. Will reopen at 2024, after the expansion and Terminal 2 will have arrivals and departures. All check-in area have been replaced to Terminal 1]

SKY PIER

It is a facility for ferry transfers for passengers that have landed in Hong Kong International Airport. From there, passengers can go to Pearl River Delta, New Territories, Chek Lap Kok and Hong Kong.

Transfer between terminals 

The Automated People Mover takes passengers between Terminal 1, Midfield Concourse, SkyPier and Terminal 2.

Travelling at approximately 60 kilometres per hour, this driverless electric train system carries about 7,200 passengers per hour and departs every few minutes.

Terminal 1 and Midfield Concourse: 06:00 am – 01:00 am
Terminal 1 to SkyPier: 07:00 am – 11:15 pm
Terminal 2 to Terminal 1: 06:30 am – 01:00 am
